Sony India today launched a Hi-Res Bluetooth Headphone with Digital Noise Cancellation- MDR-100ABN. It comes with Noise Cancellation technology of 100ABN that claims to be very effective in cancelling ambient noise.
The new headphone utilises LDACTM, an audio coding technology for the transmission of High-Resolution Audio. As per Sony, "LDAC supports several transmission rates according to wireless environment. It allows you to enjoy High-Resolution Audio content in exceptional sound quality by transmitting at the maximum transfer rate of 990 kbps (approximately three times more data than conventional Bluetooth® audio)."
The Sony MDR-100ABN has 40 mm dynamic driver unit and it can also be used as a wired headphone aided by a 1.2m connecting cable. The headphones in frequency response wired mode deliver 5Hz – 40,000Hz and in wireless mode reach upto 20Hz - 40,000Hz.
Its diaphragm domes comes with titanium to suppress unwanted vibrations and reproduce crystal clear sound with high linearity. Its specially designed ear pads claims to boost wear comfort while minimising sound leakage.
This 290 grams (without cable) weighing headphone has NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, and a 1.2 mm cable. It has volume controller as well. The headphone comes with a built in battery that claims to offer up to 20 hours of music playback. It can be charged via normal USB charger.
The Sony MDR-100ABN is available in Black colour and has a price tag of Rs 21,990.
Those who prebook it will get the Smartband Talk -SWR30 worth Rs 8,990 for free.
The GT4D is priced at Rs 50,990 while for the cheaper V44D, you have to pay Rs 29,990.
On the back panel, it has a 21.5-megapixel shooter with Exmor RS sensor, and LED flash.
The newly launched products will be available exclusively on Flipkart from 15th July and in Sony Center and major electronic stores from 15th August.
The device has a reversible plug orientation enabling users to transfer files between devices with Type C and Type A port.
