Micromax A101 is available only on Homeshop18 and looks like it is actually a 5 inch phone and 5.2 inch spec is typing error.
Micromax has launched a new Android 4.0 based phone with a 5.2 inch screen which, if true, is the largest screen size in an Android phone from an Indian manufacturer. Called Micromax A101, it is a dual SIM smartphone featuring a dual core 1 Ghz processor, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, a front camera and a 2000 mAH battery. The phone is available for Rs 9,999 on Homeshop18.
Micromax spokesperson said, "This was an exclusive launch for Homeshop18.com and will not be available in the open market." He declined to comment on the specifications.
There is some confusion about the screen size of the Micromax A101. While, Homeshop18 mentions that it has a 5.2 inch screen, in another instance, the online retailer says the phone has a 12 cms display which means it has a 5 inch display. Also, the A101 looks almost identical to Canvas A110 except for the camera which is an 8 megapixel unit in A110 as against 5 megapixel mentioned in this one.
it has 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity options as well. Micromax is offering 1 year warranty on this phone.
If it is a 5 inch device, then it doesn't make sense to buy it, as Micromax Canvas 110 is available for the same price and offers a better camera compared to A101.
